I arrived in Bermuda on a sunny and hot evening on July 1st. When I stepped off the plane I was hit with a hot breeze which made me really excited. Personally I love warmer weather because I am often cold and craving summer weather. I was really looking forward to swimming in the crystal blue water, eating out, spending time with great people, and seeing what Bermuda has to offer. What I learnt about Bermuda this trip was that it is so full of history, has the most beautiful beaches I have seen, amazing restaurants, and unique buildings. I was in Bermuda for 8 days and I was lucky to have experienced so much there!

Here are some of the favorite restaurants I went to, the beach I swam at, activities I recommend and more!

// Beautiful Places in Bermuda & Activities //

St. George's

There is so much to see and do in Bermuda! There are many parishes that have their own treasures. In St. George's there are smaller streets, St. Peter's church that was founded in 1612, and cute buildings. When we went to St. George's it was raining and gloomy but it was very beautiful.

St. Peter's Church

Hamilton

In Hamilton, there are many designer and raising designer shops, many restaurants, art galleries, and the famous Front Street. I found a boutique called Modblu that had the cutest clothes! We spent hours in Hamilton shopping, walking around, and eating at different restaurants.

City Hall - There was an exhibit with art pieces by Bermudian artists that were stunning! The entrance fee was only $5 and free if you are a student, child or senior.

Dockyard

At Dockyard there were many souvenir stores that sold beautiful magnets, postcards, stickers, and more. There was also a mini golf place, a pottery store, glass shop, and more!

We decided to paint pottery pieces at Jon Faulkner Gallery where there is a do-it-yourself painting room. They provide different pottery pieces that you can paint and then they glaze it. It takes about 7 to 10 days for the pottery to be ready so I will receive mine later.

Hotel or Rental House

Something that is a beach vacation requirement is swimming in the pool! If you do not feel like swimming in the ocean or want to float in calmer water than the pool is perfect. Pool parties are so fun especially when you bring floaties!

// Beaches //

There are a vast number of public beaches in Bermuda that are amazing to stop by at. However, if you are looking for something more private then you need to find the local beaches where tourists do not stop by at or then buy a member guest pass to a beach club. Both options have amazing water and beautiful water!

Beach Club*

Warwick Long Bay - I went swimming here and there were only about 3 people around! It was very peaceful and wonderful to have the beach to ourselves. Later we noticed there were jellyfish so be careful!

// Restaurants/ Food //

Bermuda has an amazing selection of restaurants to choose from. There is everything between Indian food to Bermudian food to Italian food. Every place I went to had amazing food! When paying the bill keep in mind that most places already have a 17% gratitude included in the total. Also, due to the heat it is wise to eat indoors or outdoors with AC.

Marcus Restaurant in Princess Bermuda hotel

Reservation: Needed

**Price: $$$

Details: Delicious and perfect for a fancier dinner. A plate of bread was served before the dinner and it was the softest, and the most delicious bread I have ever had! It came with some garlic spread that I dipped my bread into. The bread was fresh out of the oven and the perfect warmth (not pictured in the photo. The bread in the photo is gluten free bread that was not tasty like most gluten free breads). I ordered a herbal chicken dish, not exactly sure of the name of the dish. I personally prefer non-formal dinners because they are more relaxing and the food is more to my liking but I was surprised to like the dish I ordered. The chicken tasted good, a little on the spicy side, but it went perfectly with the corn, and greenery. Another pro about this restaurant is the art in the restaurant and around the hotel. This is also the only restaurant on the island with a celebrity chef.

Personal Rating: 4 out of 5

La Trattoria

Reservation: Not necessarily needed/ Recommended

**Price: $$

Details: I had a margarita pizza on a gluten free crust and it was amazing! I love thin crust pizzas and they specialize in making thin crust pizzas! In addition, the pizzas are made in a brick oven which was unique and interesting to see. We went here for lunch during the week and seemed like there was no need for a reservation but it is always smart to make one!

Bistro J

Reservation: Recommended

**Price: $$-$$$

Details: I had some amazing rosé with my burger and fries. The bread was crunchy and very well made. The burger itself was not the best I have had but it certainly is the biggest one I have had! The meat in the burger was juicy and delicious but I was not a complete fan of the burger bun. This may be because I had so many burgers and bread the previous days... I had ice cream for dessert which was perfect.
