Rainy Reykjavik, Iceland!

I had a 7 and a half layover in Iceland so I decided I wanted to do something during that time. I googled to see what I could see in those 7 hours and many people online recommended to go to the Blue Lagoon or than to the city of Reykjavik! I had originally planned to go to the Blue Lagoon and relax in the warm water but unfortunately you need to book tickets far in advance. Sadly, I had not done so so I decided to spend a few hours in Reykjavik!
I arrived in Iceland and it was pouring. I put my raincoat on and headed to the Flybus booth. There I was able to buy a round trip bus trip to Reykjavik. The tickets were not that pricey and far cheaper than taking a taxi. With me I had a tourist map with important landmarks, my phone with an offline map from Google Maps on it, and my backpack. I used these items to navigate through Reykjavik and look at some landmarks.
The bus ride to Reykjavik took about 45 minutes. There I decided I will walk around the city in a circle so my ending destination would be back at the bus station. I was very glad that I had a scarf and warm clothes on because the wind and rain was freezing cold. Apparently there was a big storm rolling in!

Places I stopped at:
1. BSI Bus Stop - This is where I was dropped off at by the FlyBus.
2. American Bar - A restaurant with a delicious American style menu. I had a burger and fries here for a good price.
3. Harpa - I did not know what this was but decided to stop by and escape the cold for a little while.
4. The Sun Voyager - a sculpture outside.
5. Hallgrímskirkja - A church with a very interesting exterior.
After that, I headed back to the bus stop and then to the airport!
While I was walking to the American Bar I came across a church where a couple was getting their pictures taken.

I sent some mail from Reykjavik!
I was in the city for a total of 3 hours which left me more than enough time to head back to the airport, go through security, and board my plane.
